Decades from now

I hope one day the Internet is wiped clean. Well, maybe not the entire Internet but at least all of these social networking sites. Last night I went through and deleted each one of my tumblr posts to “start clean,” and good Lord, you guys read that stuff?

To even look back on posts from one year ago baffle me. I’d hate to jump on MySpace and remember what I was saying at 18. 18 year old Ryan is not who I want to be known as, right now Ryan is who I want to be known as. I want to remember 18 year old me though simply to remind myself of how much I’ve matured and how far I can continue to go.

I just hope decades from now I’m remembered as somebody still doing work. Never do I want to stop growing, never. Never do I want to stop learning, never. Social networking requires us to live in the past and blogs have become an open journal for the world to take in what’s already gone on. I’m hoping my words for the most part are infused with a glimpse of what’s to come rather than what’s already taken place.

Tomorrow’s a beautiful day, isn’t it? Sure is.
